Shooting the Wolf Moon over Crater Lake

Wolf Moon Set up!

January 1, 2018, a crisp 38 degrees and low snowfall, afforded us to drive to Rim Village which is an oddity this time of year in anticipation of the first full super moon of the year, the Super Wolf Moon. Barely getting to the village in time, we traversed to the west in the snow with boots, cameras and tripods. There was a small cloud layer as the sun began to set and the mountain began to glow. An incredible sight to see, I captured the event with two camera bodies. On the way down the mountain, it was then that I received the phone call that my father had suffered a massive heart attack. It is in my father’s memory that I dedicate these moments to live on beyond my years. He will never be forgotten. I love you Dad.
